Between the hills in the north of Avellino, with the village of Torrioni at its centre with the vines of villages like S.Paolina, Montefusco and Chianche, there since 1977 grows our vine.
It thrives in the tufo volcanic soil at the slopes towering over the Sabato river, at about 380 metres above sea-level. The vineyard is South-West exposed with such a slope that it towers over the zone from Tufo to Mount Terminio, the vine is completely inundated from the sun (sunlit).
In this area the cool climate favours/fosters a slow ripeness of the grapes and the sudden thermal (excusions) changes, between day and night, give the fermented product a full aroma/flavour: Greco di Tufo docg Selvetelle.
